Introduction to Cryptography and Security Mechanisms
Crypto montage

I am currently teaching the module Introduction to Cryptography and Security Mechanisms on both the campus and the online MSc Information Security.

This module is a non-mathematical introduction to cryptography and security mechanisms. It aims to explain the functions and issues behind cryptographic mechanisms, while leaving the full details of the mechanisms themselves largely as a a "black box", although we do dip into that box from time to time. Even people with long standing mathematics phobias have emerged from this module relatively unscathed (so they tell me).
