ISF Information Security Survey

Information Security ForumThe ISG has become an academic member of the Information Security Forum (ISF). We are collaborating with the ISF on a number of projects. As part of this activity, the ISG is giving support to the ISF in its study of information security governance frameworks and the measurement of effectiveness. In the first instance, the ISF is collecting data via an on-line survey, designed to obtain qualitative feedback from information security managers and CISOs. The data gained from this initial exercise will be used to guide follow-on research.

The survey can be found at https://esurvey.nus.edu.sg/efm/se.ashx?s=5F3504CE4E39DA0A.

Dr Geraint Price explains further our association with the Information Security Forum -

"The Information Security Group recently joined the Information Security Forum (ISF) as the ISF's first academic member. One of the key ways in which the ISG aims to collaborate with the ISF is through providing specific expertise on individual research projects conducted by the ISF on behalf of their members. Another way in which the ISF wishes to engage with the ISG is to develop collaboration at the level of our MSc dissertations. This should help our MSc students by being able to develop their ideas with those in a commercial setting, and also provide them with access to some real world data to validate their analysis. From the ISG’s perspective, becoming a member of the ISF provides an excellent opportunity to continue the work we already carry out with our industrial partners."
