15 & 16 September 2012
There will be an informal conference held at Royal Holloway on Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th September 2012. This conference is open to everyone associated with the MSc Information Security Distance Learning Programme offered at Royal Holloway - that is current students, graduates of the programme and students who have registered to start in 2012-2013 academic year. ISG faculty, module leaders, tutors and information security personnel from industry are also very welcome.
This gathering will be an all too rare opportunity for distance learning students to meet face-to-face to compare notes on modules, hear interesting presentations, meet some of the module leaders and tutors of the programme, eat, drink, be merry as well as visit Royal Holloway and the surrounding area. It is a key opportunity to develop the links with speakers and other participants that might further your career. We hope to include some time in the famous Chapel and wandering around the Founder's building during the weekend. Attendance is by no means compulsory for the Masters programme. You won't be academically disadvantaged if you are unable to travel to it but if current students are able to participate, we hope it will boost your motivation and get the 2012/2013 academic year off to a flying start.
Friday begins with an optional afternoon trip (details to be advised).
Saturday and Sunday will consist of presentations on the Royal Holloway campus just a few yards from the stunning Founders' Building. Accommodation on Saturday night is located in single ensuite rooms in the "Butler Building" on Royal Holloway campus.
